I’m Emma, I’m based in North East England and run the Sugar Studio from a purpose-built cabin in my garden.

I’d been waxing for years but wanted a natural alternative for some clients who, no matter which wax I used, suffered with sensitive skin afterwards. After researching I found sugaring, and so in 2017 I signed up for the course and it has transformed my business. I no longer wax as all of my clients have converted over to sugar. They find it’s more comfortable, are less likely to have ingrown hairs or irritated skin, their hair is removed right at the root and isn’t snapped or broken off so the treatment lasts them longer. It’s also organic, vegan and environmentally friendly which is increasingly important to me and my customers.

I became an Educator in 2018, and I look forward to welcoming lots more Sugaristas to our ever-growing squad.
